download SDK Summer 2004 and unrar then klick tools and choose options
than klick tab directories and change include files to library files than go to the directory when you unpacked and chose lib than klick ok and have fun!!

in the directory, do i link the lib in enclude section or in library section?

if you downloaded sdk dx9 2004 ,then just run the .exe and it will install it for you.

then in your directories you should see it in the includes, lib , and Source files.

then it should compile just fine.
