Short and to the point:

When SA "patches" the hacks, what are they actually doing? Changing? Rearranging? (I understand the format of C++, but "patching" has always made me question what is happening or making old hacks not work).

I AM NOT GOOD AT THIS BUT I HEARD, patching means the changing of codes. Then the coders need to change the code of their codes to work as the codes of the game is patched. NOT SURE but i tried. :D
